Renting an apartment in Paris: what to expect

The Paris rental market is one of the most dynamic in Europe. Demand consistently outpaces supply, particularly for well-located apartments in the 1st to 9th arrondissements. As a result, landlords benefit from strong occupancy rates, but finding the right tenant requires rigorous screening and fast execution.

At Paris Fudosan Gestion, we manage the entire letting process on your behalf. Our team evaluates each candidate’s financial profile — income, guarantees, employment stability — to ensure you secure a reliable, solvent tenant.

Our letting fees

Our letting fee is one month’s rent including charges, invoiced once at lease signing. This covers advertising, viewings, tenant selection, the tenancy agreement and the check-in inventory. If a tenant leaves within the first year, a reduced re-letting fee applies: half a month’s rent for departures within 6 months, one quarter for departures between 6 and 12 months.

All letting fees are tax-deductible as property management expenses, reducing your effective cost significantly.
